Carbon Reduction Plan
Commitment to achieving net zero
Invacare LTD is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2045.
Baseline emissions footprint
Invacare, a global leader in the medical equipment industry, is committed to environmental stewardship across its operations worldwide. Our mission is to achieve environmental excellence by integrating sustainable practices into our manufacturing, distribution, service, and administrative activities.
We are committed to continuous improvement and compliance with evolving environmental legislation and regulations. We work closely with relevant government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance through effective environmental permitting, monitoring, record keeping, and reporting. Our corporate environmental compliance calendar supports the timely management of these obligations and helps ensure all compliance activities remain on track.
Beyond regulatory compliance, we place a strong emphasis on product stewardship and sustainability throughout the product lifecycle. As part of our long-term environmental strategy, we are committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2045.
In 2026, Invacare merged with DHG to form DHCare UK Limited. As environmental strategies and objectives are further aligned across the combined organisation, future plans, policies, and sustainability initiatives will be updated accordingly to reflect the DHCare UK structure and strategic direction.

Current emissions reporting
Figures are provided for UK entity only
Due to a local complexity on manufacturing site in Pencoed, we are unable at this stage to report scope to base figures we are working with our landlord the Welsh government to enable us to separate the energy usage for our unit within the site where we are co-located with other businesses, we are confident a solution can be found in the next 12 months and provide more accurate emissions for scope 1
During year 2024 we established that not all contributors would be able to supply us with suitable data for scope 3. We are currently going through a process of engaging with our suppliers of upstream and downstream activities to look in how they and we share information and mapping the infrastructure and tools required to enable us to record emissions and monitoring for future reporting
*exceptional circumstances unable to establish baseline to map sustainable plan goals ref co-located within other businesses.
**We are in the process of reviewing in collecting data to establish baseline and working to establish within 2026.
Carbon reduction projects
Completed carbon reduction initiatives
As part of our commitment to reducing environmental impact, we have invested in energy-saving measures across our facilities, including LED lighting and automated sensor controls that switch off lighting when areas are not in use, helping to minimise energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
We are working with DPD to help reduce our carbon emissions using electric vehicles within their delivery fleet. This supports our commitment to sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of our distribution activities.
We offer consolidated delivery options to help reduce transport emissions, minimise vehicle movements, and support our customers in achieving their environmental targets.
Future carbon reduction initiatives
In the future we hope to implement further measures such as: To continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following:
carbon reduction projects and wish set emission reduction targets once our baseline has been recorded and monitoring can be achieved.
• Achieving ISO 14001 certification
• Review in the electrification of vehicles
• Product and packaging design considerations for recyclability
• Optimization of packaging and materials
• Solution for recording Scope 2 identified and will be available as part of next year submission.
